Grenfell Athletic FC was founded to help the community rebuild after the tragedy of 2017.
The community is woven into their DNA. So for the 2024 kit, we had them woven into their shirts too.
The survivors and community of Grenfell donated their most precious fabrics. They were then incorporated into the new kit designed by Brothers & Sisters, in partnership with Nike and Kitlocker. Through NFC technology, wearers simply tapped their phones on the badges to discover the story behind the fabric.
50% of the stock was sold within the first 24 hours of the campaign launch.
Most importantly it gained traction in the media and across the social landscape, keeping alive the memories of those that were lost.
